Section 1Title and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Building Societies Act 1986 (Continuance of section 41) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 25th July 1996.

Section 2Continuance in force of section 41
Section 41 of the Building Societies Act 1986 (power to direct application to renew authorisation) shall continue in force for 5 years from the date of coming into force of this Order.
Section 3Revocation of previous Order
The Building Societies Act 1986 (Continuance of section 41) Order 1991 is hereby revoked.
