Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

These regulations may be cited as the Local Government Pension Scheme (Appropriate Pension Fund) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force for the purposes of regulation 2 on 1st April 1996 and for the purposes of regulation 3 on 1st April 1997.

Section 2 Appropriate pension fund with effect from 1st April 1996

The Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 1995 shall be amended by adding the following to the end of Part III of Schedule C1 —

North Somerset District Council

South Gloucestershire District Council

City of Bristol Council

Kingston upon Hull City Council

North Lincolnshire District Council

North East Lincolnshire District Council

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council

Hartlepool Borough Council

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council

Section 3 Appropriate pension fund with effect from 1st April 1997

The Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 1995 shall be amended by adding the following to the end of Part III of Schedule C1—

Bournemouth Borough Council

Poole Borough Council

Portsmouth City Council

Southampton City Council
