Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Publication of Staffing Information) (Wales) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st September 1996.

(2) In these Regulations “section 2” means section 2 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980.

Section 2 Requirement to publish staffing information

(1) Authorities in Wales to whom section 2 applies are required to publish the information specified in the Local Government (Publication of Staffing Information) (Wales) Code 1996 in the manner and form and on the occasions specified in that Code.

(2) In this regulation “the Local Government (Publication of Staffing Information) (Wales) Code 1996” means the code set out in the Annex to Welsh Office Circular 26/96, issued on 20th May 1996 by the Secretary of State for Wales under section 2.
