Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Scottish Qualifications Authority (Transitional Provisions) (Scotland) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 18th September 1996.

(2) In this Order, “ the Act ” means the Education (Scotland) Act 1996.

Section 2Transitional period in relation to Scottish Qualifications Authority

In terms of and for the purposes of section 20(2) of the Act the transitional period shall begin on 18th September 1996.
