Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Land Registration (Scotland) Act 1979 (Commencement No. 10) Order 1996.

Section 2

Sections 2(1) and (2) and 3(3) of the Land Registration (Scotland) Act 1979 shall come into force on 1st April 1997 in the following areas, for the purpose of registration of writs:–

(a) the County of Ayr;

(b) the County of Dumfries;

(c) the County of the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright; and

(d) the County of Wigtown.
