These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Optical Charges and Payments) Amendment (No. 3) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st November 1996.

Section 2Amendment of regulation 1 of the National Health Service (Optical Charges and Payments) Regulations 1989
In regulation 1(2) of the National Health Service (Optical Charges and Payments) Regulations 1989 (interpretation), in the definition of “ NHS sight test fee”—
(a) in paragraph (a), for “£36.65” there is substituted “£37.83”; and
(b) in paragraph (b), for “£13.41” there is substituted “£13.71”.
