Section 1Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the River Stinchar Salmon Fishery District (Baits and Lures) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st January 1997.

Section 2Specification of baits and lures and area of application

(1) Natural prawns and shrimps (whether fresh or preserved, dyed or natural colour) and any part thereof are hereby specified as baits and lures for the purposes of the definition of “rod and line” in section 24(1) of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Protection) (Scotland) Act 1951 .

(2) These Regulations shall apply to the River Stinchar Salmon Fishery District.
