Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Motorways Traffic (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 15th November 1996.

(2) These Regulations shall extend to Scotland only.

Section 2 Interpretation

In these Regulations–

“the 1995 Regulations ” means the Motorways Traffic (Scotland) Regulations 1995 .

Section 3 Amendment of the Motorways Traffic (Scotland) Regulations 1995

The 1995 Regulations shall be amended as follows:–

(a) at the end of regulation 3 (application) there shall be inserted “, except those special roads described in the Schedule to these Regulations”;

(b) at the end of the 1995 Regulations there shall be inserted the following:–

SPECIAL ROADS EXCEPTED FROM THE APPLICATION OF THESE REGULATIONS

(1) The special road authorised to be provided by the Edinburgh-Berwick upon Tweed Trunk Road (A1) Old Craighall Roundabout to East of Haddington Special Road Scheme 1994 .

(2) The special road authorised to be provided by the Edinburgh-Berwick upon Tweed Trunk Road (A1) Old Craighall Roundabout to East of Haddington Special Road Scheme (No.2) 1994 .
