Section 1 Citation and extent

(1) This Order may be cited as the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No.7) (Scotland) Order 1996.

(2) This Order extends to Scotland only.

Section 2 Provisions coming into force on 1 January 1997

The following provisions of the Environment Act 1995 shall come into force on 1st January 1997:–

section 96(1), (5) and (6) and Schedule 13 and 14 insofar as they apply in relation to Scotland;

96(3);

section 96(4) insofar as it relates to section 251A of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972 ceasing to have effect;

section 120(3) insofar as it relates to the repeal in Schedule 24 of section 251A of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972.
