Section 1Citation and Commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Harborough District Council) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 18th December 1996.

Section 2Exemption of refuse collection

The collection of refuse by the Harborough District Council shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is undertaken in their area before 1st October 1997.
