Section 1

This Order may be cited as the A40 Trunk Road (Western Avenue, Hillingdon) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 22nd November 1996.

Section 2

In this Order —

“the relevant length”means that length of the westbound access slip road between its junction with the western kerb line of Hercies Road and a point 319 metres to the west of that junction;

“the westbound access slip road”means that length of trunk road that links Long Lane (A437) to the westbound main carriageway of the trunk road;

“Long Lane”and “Hercies Road”mean the roads so named in the London Borough of Hillingdon;

“the trunk road”means that part of the A40 Trunk Road in the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Section 3

No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in the relevant length.
