Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Health Authorities Act 1995 (Transitional Provisions) (Wales) Amendment Order 1996 and shall come into force on 31st December 1996.

(2) In this Order—

“the 1985 Order ” means the Joint Consultative Committees Order 1985 ;

“the 1996 Order ” means the Health Authorities Act 1995 (Transitional Provisions) Order 1996 .

Section 2 Amendment of 1996 Order

(1) The 1996 Order is amended in accordance with the following paragraph of this Order, in relation to joint consultative committees in Wales.

(2) In article 12 (Joint Consultative Committees)—

(a) for the date “1st January 1997” there shall be substituted the date “1st April 1997”; and

(b) for the date “31st December 1996” which, by virtue of paragraphs (b) and (c)(i) of that article, has effect in articles 7 and 8 respectively of the 1985 Order, there shall be substituted the date “31st March 1997”.
