Section 1Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Measuring Equipment (Measures of Length) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 4th December 1996.

Section 2Amendment of the Measuring Equipment (Measures of Length) Regulations 1986

In the definition of “limiting quality level (LQ5)” in paragraph 2 (interpretation) of Schedule 2 to the Measuring Equipment (Measures of Length) Regulations 1986 , for “95 per cent” there shall be substituted “5 per cent”.
