Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Child Minding and Day Care (Registration and Inspection Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st February 1997.

Section 2 Amendment of the Child Minding and Day Care (Registration and Inspection Fees) Regulations 1991

(1) The Child Minding and Day Care (Registration and Inspection Fees) Regulations 1991 shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation.

(2) In regulation 3 (registration)—

(a) in paragraph (1) for the sum “£10.00” there shall be substituted the sum “£12.50”; and

(b) in paragraph (2)—

(i) in sub-paragraph (a) for the sum “£100.00” there shall be substituted the sum “£110.00”; and

(ii) in sub-paragraph (b) for the sum “£10.00” there shall be substituted the sum “£12.50”.

(3) In regulation 4 (fee on annual inspection)—

(a) in paragraph (a) for the sum “£7.50” there shall be substituted the sum “£10.00”;

(b) in paragraph (b) for the sum “£75.00” there shall be substituted the sum “£85.00”; and

(c) in paragraph (c) for the sum “£7.50” there shall be substituted the sum “£10.00”.
