Section 1Citation and commencement

(1) This Act of Sederunt may be cited as the Act of Sederunt (Civil Legal Aid Rules) (Amendment No. 2) 1996 and shall come into force on 1st January 1997.

(2) This Act of Sederunt shall be inserted in the Books of Sederunt.

Section 2Amendment of Act of Sederunt (Civil Legal Aid Rules) 1987

The Act of Sederunt (Civil Legal Aid Rules) 1987 shall be amended by substituting for the definition of “the Regulations” in rule 1(2) (interpretation) the following–

“ the Regulations ” means the Civil Legal Aid (Scotland) Regulations 1996.
