Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Retirement Benefits Schemes (Continuation of Rights of Members of Approved Schemes) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1996, shall come into force on 13th January 1997 but shall take effect as from 1st January 1997.

Section 2

In regulation 3A(2)(b)(ii) of the Retirement Benefits Schemes (Continuation of Rights of Members of Approved Schemes) Regulations 1990 for the words “on or after 1996” there shall be substituted the words “on or after 1st January 1997”.
