Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Council Tax (Deductions from Income Support) Regulations 1993 Amendment Order 1996, and shall come into force on 1st April 1996.

Section 2Amendment of the Council Tax (Deductions from Income Support) Regulations 1993
In relation only to Scotland, regulation 3 of the Council Tax (Deductions from Income Support) Regulations 1993 is amended by inserting after the words “Schedule 8 to the Local Government Finance Act” the words “or by virtue of an order made under section 79 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994”.
