Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Direct Labour Organisations) (Accounts) (Scotland) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st April 1996.

Section 2 Amendment of section 10(2) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980

Section 10(2) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 as it applies to Scotland is amended as follows—

(a) by substituting for paragraph (a) the following paragraphs—

(a) general highway works on a trunk road;

(aa) general highway works on a road other than a trunk road;

(b) by inserting at the end the words “, and in this subsection “trunk road” has the meaning given in section 151(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 ”.
