Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Thameside Community Health Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1996, and shall come into force on 7th April 1996.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

In Article 3 of the Thameside Community Health Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992 (functions of the trust)—

(a) in paragraph (1) for “section 5(1)(a)” there shall be substituted “section 5(1)(b)”;

(b) for paragraph (2) there shall be substituted the following new paragraph:—

(2) The trust’s functions shall be—

(a) to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services provided at Thurrock Hospital, Long Lane, Grays, Essex RM16 2PX and associated hospitals;

(b) to manage community health services provided from Thurrock Hospital, Long Lane, Grays, Essex RM16 2PX and to provide the associated premises.
