Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Daventry District Council) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 16th April 1997.

Section 2Exemption of ground maintenance work
The maintenance of ground by Daventry District Council shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is undertaken before 1st October 1997 at any of the sites (or the parts of sites) listed in Specification Contract A dated June 1994 which was approved by the Leisure and Community Services Committee of the Daventry District Council on 30th March 1995.
