This Order may be cited as the Education Act 1997 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1997.

The Education Act 1997 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1997
Section 2
The following provisions of the Education Act 1997 shall come into force on 4th April 1997:—
section 1; and
in Schedule 8 the repeal in section 479(2) of the Education Act 1996 of the words “providing secondary education”, and section 57(4) insofar as it relates thereto.
