Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (Codes of Practice No. 4) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 15th May 1997.

Section 2
The revised code of practice laid in draft before Parliament on 5th March 1997 in connection with the matters referred to in section 66(a) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 shall come into operation on 15th May 1997.
