Section 1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Social Security Act 1990 (Commencement No.6) Order 1997.

Section 2 Appointed day

9th June 1997 is appointed as the day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Social Security Act 1990:–

(a) section 15(11);

(b) Schedule 7, so far as relating to the repeal of sections 252 and 253 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 ; and

(c) section 21(2), so far as relating to the provisions mentioned in paragraph (b) above.
