Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Register of Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 29th June 1997.

(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations ” means the Register of Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes Regulations 1997 .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Regulations

(1) The principal Regulations shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation.

(2) In regulation 4 (information required in respect of a registrable scheme) in sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph (1) for the words from “receipt of a written notice” to “these Regulations,” substitute “Registrar's, on or after the date of the coming into force of these Regulations, sending by post to the trustees a written notice requiring that information to be furnished,”.

(3) In regulation 8 (transitional provisions) in paragraph (3) for the words “by 30th June 1997.” substitute the words “within 3 months of the Registrar’s sending by post to the trustees a written notice requiring that information to be furnished.”.
