Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Seed Potatoes (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 1st July 1997.

Section 2 Amendment of the Seed Potatoes Regulations 1991

For paragraph 3 of Schedule 4 to the Seed Potatoes Regulations 1991 there shall be substituted the following paragraph:–

(1) An official label shall measure not less than 110mm x 67mm and, subject to sub-paragraph (2) below, shall have printed on it the words–

EC Rules and Standards

(2) Official labels printed prior to 1st July 1997 with the abbreviation “ EEC ” instead of “EC” may be used until 31 December 2001.
