Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Housing Management) (Exemptions) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 14th August 1997.

(2) In this Order, “the principal Order ” means the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Housing Management) (Exemptions) (Wales) Order 1997 .

Section 2 Amendments to the principal Order

(1) The principal Order shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this article.

(2) For paragraph (3) of article 5 (the conditions) substitute the following—

(3) The third condition is that such work is being carried out before 1st October 2004.

(3) Schedule 1 to the principal Order is revoked.
