Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Return of Cultural Objects (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 1st September 1997.

(2) These Regulations extend to Northern Ireland.

Section 2 Amendment

(1) The Return of Cultural Objects Regulations 1994 shall be amended in accordance with the provisions of this regulation.

(2) In regulation 2(1) (interpretation) at the end there shall be inserted “as amended by the Council Directive No. 96/100/ EC ” .

(3) In the Schedule to the Regulations after the entry in respect of 10 (printed maps) there shall be inserted—
