The Family Law Act 1996 (Modifications of Enactments) Order 1997

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Family Law Act 1996 (Modifications of Enactments) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st October 1997.

Section 2

In section 65(2)(a) of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980 (Meaning of family proceedings) for “(m) and (n)”, there shall be substituted “(m), (n) and (p)”.

Section 3

In section 125(4)(c)(ii) of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980 (Warrants) for “section 18(4) of the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978 ”, there shall be substituted “section 47(8) of the Family Law Act 1996”.
