Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Croydon London Borough Council) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 22nd October 1997.

Section 2Exemption of construction and property services
The provision of construction and property services by Croydon London Borough Council shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out in relation to Croydon Tramlink between 23rd February 1998 and 31st March 2000.
