Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Stockton on Tees Borough Council) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 28th October 1997.

Section 2Exemption of legal services

The provision of legal services by Stockton on Tees Borough Council shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out before 31st March 1999.
