The Passenger Transport Executives (Capital Finance) (Amendment) Order 1997

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Passenger Transport Executives (Capital Finance) (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 6th March 1997.

Section 2

The Passenger Transport Executives (Capital Finance) Order 1990 shall be amended as follows:

(a) In paragraph (1) of article 2 after “(a)” there shall be inserted “(subject to paragraph (2A) below)”;

(b) After paragraph (2) of article 2 there shall be inserted the following—

(2A) Any sum which is received by the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive in respect of the disposal of South Yorkshire Light Rail Limited or South Yorkshire Supertram Limited to which paragraph (1)(a) above applies shall be treated for the purposes of paragraph (1) above as reduced by so much of the sum as is applied by the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive in defraying that Executive’s costs of and incidental to the disposal of either or both of those Companies
