Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Nevill Hall and District National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1997 and shall come into force on 28th November 1997.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For Article 3 of the Nevill Hall and District National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993 there shall be substituted the following Article:—

Nature and functions of the trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be—

(a) subject to sub-paragraph (b) below, to own and manage under section 5(1)(a) of the Act hospital accommodation and services provided at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny, NP7 7EG and associated hospitals;

(b) to provide and manage under section 5(1)(b) of the Act hospital accommodation and services at the Day Surgery/Endoscopy Unit, Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny, NP7 7EG; and

(c) to manage under section 5(1)(a) of the Act community health services provided from Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny, NP7 7EG and to own the associated premises.
