Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998.

Section 2Amendment of the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (England) Order 1988

Paragraph (2) of article 3 of the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (England) Order 1988 is amended by the substitution for “£100,000” of “£150,000”.

Section 3Amendment of the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (Wales) Order 1988

Paragraph (2) of article 3 of the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (Wales) Order 1988 is amended by the substitution for “£100,000” of “£150,000”.
