Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (National Insurance Number Information: Exemption) (No. 2) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 1st December 1997 immediately after the Social Security (National Insurance Number Information: Exemption) Regulations 1997 .

Section 2 Amendment of regulation 2A of the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987

In regulation 2A(b) of the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987 (disapplication of section 1(1A) of the Administration Act) for the words “5th October 1988” there shall be substituted the words “5th October 1998”.
