Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Changes for England (Property Transfer) (Humberside) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998.

(2) In this Order, “Humberside property” means property of the Humberside County Council which, on 1st April 1996, vested in the Local Government Residuary Body (England) (“the Residuary Body”) by virtue of regulation 6(10) of the Local Government Changes for England (Property Transfer and Transitional Payments) Regulations 1995 .

Section 2Transfer of property

(1) All Humberside property situated in the district of the East Riding of Yorkshire shall vest in the council of that district.

(2) All Humberside property situated in the borough of North East Lincolnshire shall vest in the council of that borough.

(3) All rights or liabilities of the Residuary Body exclusively in respect of any property vested by paragraph (1) or, as the case may be, (2) above shall vest in the council in which the property in question vests.
