Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Community Bus (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 1st January 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of conditions to be fulfilled by driver of bus

In regulation 3(3) of the Community Bus Regulations 1986 , for paragraphs (b) and (c) there shall be substituted—

(b) has held such a licence for a period of, or periods amounting in aggregate to, not less than 2 years,

(c) is 21 years of age or over, and

(d) if he is 70 years of age or over, is not suffering from a relevant disability in respect of which the Secretary of State would be bound to refuse to grant him a licence authorising the driving of a class of vehicles in sub-category D1
