The Summer Time Order 1997

Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Summer Time Order 1997 and shall come into force fourteen days after the day on which it is made.

(2) This Order shall have effect in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

(3) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Summer Time Act 1972.

Section 2

In relation to the year 1998, the period of summer time for the purposes of the Act shall be the period beginning at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 29th March 1998 and ending at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 25th October 1998 instead of the period specified in section 1 of the Act.

Section 3

In relation to the year 1999, the period of summer time for the purposes of the Act shall be the period beginning at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 28th March 1999 and ending at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 31st October 1999 instead of the period specified in section 1 of the Act.

Section 4

In relation to the year 2000, the period of summer time for the purposes of the Act shall be the period beginning at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 26th March 2000 and ending at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 29th October 2000 instead of the period specified in section 1 of the Act.

Section 5

In relation to the year 2001, the period of summer time for the purposes of the Act shall be the period beginning at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 25th March 2001 and ending at one o'clock, Greenwich mean time, in the morning of 28th October 2001 instead of the period specified in section 1 of the Act.

Section 6

The Summer Time Order 1992 and the Summer Time Order 1994 are hereby revoked.
