Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Land Registration Act 1997 (Commencement) Order 1997.

Section 2

The following provisions of the Land Registration Act 1997—

(a) section 1,

(b) Part I of Schedule 1 and section 4(1) so far as relating thereto, and

(c) Part I of Schedule 2 and section 4(2) so far as relating thereto,

shall come into force on 1st April 1998.

Section 3

Part I of Schedule 1 to, and section 4(1) (so far as relating thereto) of, the Land Registration Act 1997 shall apply only in relation to dispositions made on or after 1st April 1998.
