Section 1Title and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Food (Pistachios from Iran) (Emergency Control) (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 23rd December 1997.

Section 2Amendment of previous Order
The Food (Pistachios from Iran) (Emergency Control) Order 1997 shall be amended by the insertion at the end of article 2(1) (prohibition of import) of the words “except in accordance with the conditions in Article 2 of Commission Decision 97/830/ EC of 11th December 1997 repealing Commission Decision 97/613 and imposing special conditions on the import of pistachios and certain products derived from pistachios originating in, or consigned from, Iran ”.
