Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Disability Living Allowance) Amendment Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 6th October 1997.

Section 2Amendment of regulation 3 of the Social Security (Disability Living Allowance) Regulations 1991
In regulation 3 of the Social Security (Disability Living Allowance) Regulations 1991 (age 65 or over)—
(a) in paragraph (1), for the word “, where—” there shall be substituted “if he is a person to whom paragraphs (2) and (3) apply.”; and
(b) sub-paragraphs (a) to (d) of paragraph (1) shall be omitted.
