Section 1
These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution) (Limits) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 20th March 1997.

The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution) (Limits) Regulations 1997
Section 2
Paragraph 1 of the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution) (Limits) Regulations 1996 shall be amended as follows:
(a) in the second line, the words “bounded by a series of lines” shall be replaced by the words “the lines”; and
(b) the entries numbered 40 and 41 shall be replaced by the following entries:
