The Litter Control Areas (Amendment) Order 1997

Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Litter Control Areas (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 28th March 1997.

Section 2 Amendment of the Litter Control Areas Order 1991

(1) Article 2 of the Litter Control Areas Order 1991 (land which may be designated as a litter control area) shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this article.

(2) In paragraph (1)(b), the words “which has a gross retail floorspace of 5,000 square metres or more” shall be omitted.

(3) In paragraph (1)(c), the words “with a gross floor space of 5,000 square metres or more” shall be omitted.

(4) There shall be substituted for paragraph (1)(j)(xi):

(xi) A National Park Authority, or

Section 3 Amendment of the National Park Authorities (Wales) Order 1995

(1) Paragraph 16 of Schedule 5 to the National Park Authorities (Wales) Order 1995 shall be omitted.

(2) The entry headed “The Litter Control Areas Order 1991” in paragraph 2 of the Schedule to the National Park Authorities (Wales) (Amendment) Order 1996 shall be omitted.

Section 4 Amendment of the National Park Authorities (England) Order 1996

Paragraph 13 of Schedule 5 to the National Park Authorities (England) Order 1996 shall be omitted.
