Section 1 Citation, extent, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Fees) (Scotland) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1997.

(2) This Order shall apply to Scotland only.

(3) In this Order a reference to a numbered column is to the column in the Schedule to this Order bearing that number.

Section 2 Fees

Each of the enactments mentioned in column 1 is hereby amended by varying the sum specified by that enactment as the amount or maximum amount payable in respect of the matter described in column 2 from the sum shown in column 3 to the sum shown in column 4.

Section 3 Revocation

The Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Fees) (Scotland) Order 1993 is hereby revoked.
