Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Isles of Scilly (Direct Payments Act) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1997.

Section 2Application of sections 1 and 2 of the Community Care (Direct Payments) Act 1996 to the Isles of Scilly

Sections 1 and 2 of the Community Care (Direct Payments) Act 1996 shall apply to the Isles of Scilly as if the Council of the Isles of Scilly were a local authority within the meaning of those sections.
