Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Medicines Control Agency Trading Fund (Variation) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1997.

Section 2 Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Medicines Control Agency Trading Fund Order 1993

In Schedule 1 to the Medicines Control Agency Trading Fund Order 1993 there shall be added after paragraph 2 the following paragraph:

(2A) All the operations of the Medicines Control Agency carried on in connection with functions of the Secretary of State relating to the application of the principles of good laboratory practice and the verification of their application for tests on chemical substances and to the inspection and verification of good laboratory practice as laid down in Council Directive 87/18/ EEC of 16th December 1986 and Council Directive 88/320/EEC of 9th June 1988 and as arising out of the United Kingdom’s membership of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
