Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Carlisle Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1997 and shall come into force on 24th March 1997.

Section 2 Amendment of NHS trust Establishment Order

In Article 3 of the Carlisle Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993 (functions of the trust)—

in paragraph (1) for “section 5(1)(a)” there shall be substituted “section 5(1)(b)”; and

for paragraph (2) there shall be substituted the following new paragraph—

(2) The trust’s functions shall be to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services at any or all of the following hospitals—

City General Hospital, Fusehill Street, Carlisle, Cumbria CA1 2HG,

City Maternity Hospital, Fusehill Street, Carlisle, Cumbria CA1 2HG,

Cumberland Infirmary, Newtown Road, Carlisle, Cumbria CA2 7HY,

and at any other premises which are for the time being associated with any of those hospitals.
