Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Welfare Food (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 7th April 1997.

(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations ” means the Welfare Food Regulations 1996 .

Section 2 Amendment of regulation 6 of the principal Regulations

In regulation 6(1) of the principal Regulations (inability to obtain free vitamins) for the words “at an office of the Department of Social Security” there shall be substituted the words “to an office of the Department of Social Security in writing”.

Section 3 Amendment of regulation 7 of the principal Regulations

In regulation 7(1) of the principal Regulations (purchase of dried milk at a reduced price) for “£3.65” there shall be substituted “£3.75”.
