Section 1Commencement and citation

This Order may be cited as the Courses for Drink-Drive Offenders (Experimental Period) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1997.

Section 2Extension of the Experimental Period

The end of 1999 is hereby specified in place of the end of 1997 for the purposes of section 31(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991 (experimental period for the application of section 34A of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 ).
