(1) This Order applies to the functions of the Registrar General which are conferred by the enactments mentioned in paragraph (2) of this article.
(2) The enactments are—
(a) in the 1953 Act—
(i) paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of subsection (1) of section 10A ; and
(ii) subsections (1) and (2) of section 14 , except in so far as those provisions apply in relation to births at sea ; and
(b) in the 1987 Regulations—
(i) regulation 18, in so far as it applies to births which are re-registered in accordance with paragraphs (a), (b) or (c) of subsection (1) of section 10A of the 1953 Act;
(ii) paragraph (a) of regulation 19;
(iii) regulation 24;
(iv) sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph (4) of regulation 55, in so far as it applies to clerical errors relating to an entry required to be made by regulations 20, 22 and 23; and
(v) sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph (5) of regulation 56, in so far as it applies to clerical errors relating to an entry required to be made by regulations 20, 22 and 23.
(3) Any function of the Registrar General to which this Order applies may be exercised by, or by employees of, such person (if any) as may be authorised in that behalf by the Registrar General.
