Section 1 Commencement and citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 2nd February 1998.

Section 2 Preliminary

The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 shall be further amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.

Section 3 Amendment to regulation 98 (stopping of engine when stationary)

In regulation 98(1), there shall be inserted at the end the words “or of exhaust emissions”.
